Lawyer Milloy is correct. Petrino couldn't stand the heat of the NFL and like a coward left in the middle of the season. I could respect Petrino's desire to return to the college game if he wasn't negotiating with Arkansas while he should have been game planning for the Falcons.

Lawyer Milloy is an idiot, and is just looking to be in the news. Any coach that goes 41-9 in 4 years of college coaching knows what he is doing. Petrino found out the NFL is not for him, too many egos and backstabbing executives for him to deal with. He should have talked to the players, but they would have just yelled at him anyway. The Atlanta players are just a bunch of thugs and bums, supporting Vick and crying over a coach they did not even like for leaving. I saw where Hall got in trouble again. That makes 2 suspensions and another $10,000 fine this year alone, and he is trying to tell Petrino how to be a man?!?

Milloy meant to say" in Atlanta football is a THUGS game". Petrino figured out he didn't want any part of it.

Milloy was correct, Petrino definately punked out by atleast not facing the team and explaining his decision. I know I wouldn't consider playing for him if a comparable school without a shyster coach wanted me also. Good luck swine.

Well, I understand WHY Petrino wanted out of the job: the job no longer fit the description he signed on for.
However, he should have at least finished the season!!! The timing really makes him look like a total quitter.
