I am unsure of the exact plan for Christmas Eve....there is a chance that I may go for lunch with some Indian friends....they will probably prepare a curry of some sort! I will also be wrapping presents at some point on that day, I am sure! I really hope to catch the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from the King's College Chapel here in Cambridge on the radio in the afternoon....and I am not sure if we will go to church ourselves at midnight on Christmas Eve....we have done that in the past, though. We might go on Christmas morning instead. I wish you a happy holiday season, too!

I guess I will be cleaning up getting ready for Christmas Day. I am having a bunch folks over to eat at my house.
I will try to spend some time with my daughter reading the Christmas Story and maybe baking a gingerbread man. At least that is the plan.

I am afraid that my answer will probably just depress you ....
So you have been warned !!! :)
I am a single Mom ... and I have virtually no contact with anyone in my family anymore. :(
They all shunned me after my decision to leave my ex. No one lives closeby ..... they are all about 6+ hours away, but that is probably for the best ... :)
I will be spending another Christmas (3 in a row) alone ...just me and my 3 and 5 year old girls .... :)
I will spend Christmas eve wrapping all of the Santa gifts ... and in the morning their Dad (my ex) will come by for an hour to watch them open up presents ... then he will leave and it will be the 3 of us for the rest of the day ... :)
But we spend our Thanksgiving's and Easter's all the same way ... we are getting used to it now and it is FINE !!! :)
It is much better than having stress and fighting w. family ....
It may be quiet and uneventful, but I adore my 2 little pixie's and we have great quality time together .... !

I have to work until about 2 and then I get off and go to a Christmas party with my family

I will probably visit my family that night. My husband has to work and won't get home until late. Normally we open our gifts to each other that night but instead we'll do it Christmas morning.
And right now at work, they're debating whether we'll get Christmas eve off totally...I'm so hoping for it!
