no i pinpointed the sound to the tranny, its a new rebuilt engine and the noise isn't coming from the front of the engine or fan area, its something around the tranny or is the tranny, It honestly performs like a dream just has a few noises that are getting on my nerves

r u sure is the transmission.
please check your lub oil level in engine and also gear box oil in the transmission. If is low,pls top up.
it could also be alternator bearings, aircon compressor bearings, clutch bearing, radiator fan motor ,air con condensor fan motor, power steering pump.cam shaft,
Please be patient and check all possibilities.

sorry for the long list.

If the noise changes when you push the clutch pedal it's a noisey clutch release bearing, they make a warbling sound that may be what you are hearing. Power steering pumps make gurgling noises at start up in cold weather, does the noise change when you turn the steering wheel lock to lock? If it does drain and fill the PS fluid with Mits sp III auto transmission fluid. To air bleed the PS system the factory recommends having the front tires off the ground and disconnect the crankshaft sensor so the car won't start. While cranking the motor over turn the steering wheel back and forth at least 6 times lock to lock to get the air out. Any noise will go away aftyer driving a short distance. You might have to erase a check engine light if it sets while cranking the motor with the sensor disconnected.
