Which Republican would that be? The guy who is running his ENTIRE platform to lead this nation based solely on the fact that he was mayor or NY on 9/11/01, or the guy who Republicans don't even like because he's a Mormon?

Judging from the mood of the nation today, I think it would take a small miracle for a Republican to win the White House in 08.
People desire change to the point a candidate like Ron Paul is being seriously considered. On the other side, Hillery Clinton, even with an agenda that most people think is socialism, is being seriously considered.
08 is going to be an interesting election year.

What will America and the world do with eight MORE years of a GEORGE W BUSH presidency after he uses his Imperial Presidency Signing Statements to suspend elections in November, declare Martial Law and declare himself President for life under the Homeland Security Protect America Act?

I think the GOP winning the next 8 years is more of an inevitability. The GOP just has so many strong candidates for President that make them all but unbeatable. Take your pick, from Fred Thompson to Mike Huckabee. All of them are very electable.

Methinks you are counting your chickies before the eggs hatch. I'm not sure where you get the notion that the GOP is a lock to win the next two presidential races, but current polls show otherwise.

You might want to wait until after next November to ask this question, and perhaps you won't be asking it at all.

I'll give you four year; I don't know about eight. The democrats might actually want to win (and nominate a candidate reflecting such) in 2012.
