Think of the trees it would save.
the life span of an average card...you get it..you open it...you go "aaah thats nice"..you stick it on the shelf/string/cardholder and there it sits till after Christmas...you then throw it away!!!
what a waste of paper I think...
recycled one are still just as bad...they could be made into bum wipe instead...lol

I Agree, save the trees, send an e-card instead. If they still wanted a real card they could print it out.lol

You make a good point, but I kinda like cards. I always buy recycled ones and then the ones I get (from others) can sometimes have their pictures cut out to use in scrapbooks or for name tags the next year. I throw more paper away in two days worth of junk mail than I do in a year of all holiday cards. Junk mail should be banned!

What an intelligent idea, and think of the money saved on the purchase of cards, envelopes and postage.

What we really need to do is to learn how to successfully inject women with an anti spending gene and then that will solve the Christmas card problem and a whole lot of other problems as well.

No Cards at times have more meaning to people then gifts. Maybe some of the toys that kids play with for 10 minutes then push to the side for the next one should be banned!

Well, I'll do my part. I won't be sending you a Christmas card or any other card. Nor will I expect any cards from you in the future. There! Your ban is in effect! Now I'll get back to addressing my cards for the people who actually mean something to me.

That is true. But cards are only a fraction of the amount of wood used.
And why 'Christmas' cards in particular? Why not birthday cards, or Easter cards?

EDIT: OK, Razzle. Now I understand... its Christmas time and Christmas cards were the first that came to mind

Well you can always buy ones that have been recycled? Or ones that come from charities if you feel so bad about them
They're JUST cards fgs.

I totally agree. I don't do christmas cards, haven't done for years simply because I consider them a waste of time and card.

It is still nice to receive cards and send them. It is the big supermarkets who should be doing more about banning packaging.
