or should he have stayed in the same small town and run the Building & Loan? What do you think?

The end of the movie tells it all. By staying and helping his community he has gained more friends than anyone could ask for. He has spent his whole life helping them not for what he can get out of it but for the joy of it and in his time of need look what happens. Great Christmas movie!

If he had gone around the world then Potter would have took over the town and it would have been Hell on Earth! I'm glad he stayed in Bedford Falls even though I felt bad for the little fella.

go on the trip then come back and run the building and loan...killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

He should have stayed home and run the Building and Loan.He could make a difference right where he lived.

BTW - When he went to see family in Elmira. The city of Elmira is 8 miles from me. (useless fact)

i love that film, I'm glad he stayed otherwise we wouldn't have the film would we?
