I had to replace my battery in my HONDA CRV, and my radio wasn't working just saying CODE. I was mucking around with it and got stuck with an error message. I now know what to do, but I can't enter the right code now since it just says ERROR. HOw do i reset it again so i CAN enter my code?

you have three chances to enter the code properly and if you don't do it in three tries it figures your trying to do something you shouldn't be doing and it locks you out for 24 hours or so.

the easyest way to reset the radio so that you get the code message again is to disconnect the battery negative cable and leave the negative cable off for about 5 minutes. that will clear the memory in the audio unit so that when you reconnect the battery your radio will say "CODE" and you can start again.

if you don't want to disconnect the battery, look in the underhood fuse and relay box on the passenger side rear of the engine compartment. In that fuse box you'll find a fuse labeled back-up. its usually a 7.5 amp fuse and it may be labeled "b/up". removing that fuse and leaving it out for 5 minutes will do the same as disconnecting the battery.

hope that answers your question

Your glove box should have a white sticker in it with a 5 or 8 digit #. The 5 digit # is your code. if you already are getting error 3 hit the 1 button several times til you hear a beep, then enter 5 digit code.

Actually, none of that will work, you need to either look in the manual or call a Honda dealership to get the exact instructions, but there is a process which involves leaving the car on for a certain amount of time and doing some simple steps. Call the dealership.

You can re enter the code after 24-48 hours, also disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and it should reset.

Disconnect the Negative battery terminal with a 10mm socket wrench. Leave it off for at least 2 minutes and then your radio will say "CODE". Enter your 5 digit code and then reset your clock.

If you need your code just email me and I will help you get it

since it says error and gets stuck there so bring it to the the honda crv agent and they will fix it for you for free. and dont do anything more so it wont get more stuck or you can remove your battery and put it back again.
