My car has 65,000 miles on it, didn't think a clutch was suppose to out that soon thats why I am asking if anyone has a different opinion, could it be just a belt? It just stated happening, a little yesterday and a lot today. My hood is covered in ice and snow so i havn't look under it yet.
Thanks

Kevin

Read up on the clutch "throw-out" bearing which would make that noise when it starts to go bad. Unfortunately, it can only be replaced by removing the transmission.

Sounds like the throwout bearing in the clutch is going out. They should last more than 65,000 miles, but you never know. Might as well have the clutch replaced while they're in there, since they have to take it all apart anyway.

Definitely throw-out bearing. However, just because it is making noise doesn't require replacement right away. Eventually it will wear out and may damage the clutch. But the clutch and pressure plate will need replacement any way.

sounds like the throw-out bearing and is 1 of the parts in a clutch kit. not good news as the tranny has to come off to fix. yes you should change the clutch. it may still be good but not for long.

65,000 miles isn't bad for a clutch on a muscle car. it sounds like the release bearing is about to let go.

A shot of WD 40 should help.
