the guy in the dream who was stabbing me was smiling it seemed so real & was very scary.

Being stabbed with a knife does not neccessarily mean a real knife. But knife in a dream can represents words or actions which are used in a way to wound you.

First, the guy in your dream. Was it somebody you already saw before? If so, that means your scared of him and things he could do to you. Also, you think he's the type of guy who would want to stab you.If you have never seen him, you still might want to be on the lookout for somebody looking like him.

It would help if you could post the dream from beginning to end, as much as you can remember of it, but offhand I would say that there is someone you think of as a friend, who isn't really.........
