Overall, veterans are half as likely to be incarcerated than nonveterans, and of the veterans who are serving time, 99% are male. The veteran prison population has declined by 9% since 2000, but 23% of the veterans in prison are there for a violent crime or sexual assault against women or children, compared to 9% of the nonveteran inmate population.

I'm sorry, the draft has nothing to do with what may or may not happen to a person if he has to go to war.
If we don't have soldiers and other nations go to war with us and we lose and live under the subjugation of another country we 'may' also have mental and physical stresses.
You can object to the draft on a variety of fair reasons, like unfairness, unequal ability to get out of it, involuntary servitude even, but not because of the possibility of post traumatic stress disorder or as they used to call it shell shock.

O.K. You say you wanted a web site for more info. The source below has a link to one. Read all of the data on it and quit believing in all of the myths about vets returning home and carrying out acts of violence because of their experiences in combat. Most of those stories are pure crapola dreamed up by a Hollywood script writer who never got beyond the California freeway system!
BTW, 70% of those names on the Vietnam Wall were volunteers, not draftees.

I am against a draft. Not because of the potential side-effects but because it's a fundamental violation of our rights as citizens. It should only be adopted under the most extreme circumstances (like those in Israel).
N.B - My country doesn't really have an army so it's a moot point I suppose.

I had a similar conversation with some Americans in my country and it seems that you all want to have rights in a democratic country(which is not exactely democratic) but not any obligations..very interesting and an example of a very complecant society;to vote (otherwise how can you have democracy or representative goverment...)and to serve are your paramount obligations and you don't like them you may choose another country
