No! Not at all!!
Check this out:
Mark 7:18-20
Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")
He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.'

Meat was the common food back then, easy to get and could feed large groups and be plenty.
Jesus basically said eat what you want when you need it. He pretty much rejected all food laws of his times.
I think that if fasting was accepted (not eating ANYTHING) then being a vegetarian shouldn't be a problem.
Besides, it says in genesis that we were to look after all the other creatures of the Earth was our job. Many people take this to mean protecting them watching over them. If you feel that you can't do this and slaughter them for food, then I'm sure God will be fine with this too. Don't sweat the small stuff....

No, I do not believe this verse is condemning vegetarianism, but rather, showing us that it is wrong to forbid other people from eating meat, or judge them for doing so.
I have seen (sometimes) some vegetarians allow their belief in abstaining from meat to become a wedge between them and other people. Some people feel angry that other people eat animals. This would seem to be a rather hypocritical stance, as abstaining from meat is generally done as a kindness to animals. If we can't be kind to our own species, what is the point of being kind to the others?
As long as you know that God does not require vegetarianism, and you don't think of yourself pridefully because of your choice, I believe there is no sin in choosing to not eat meat.
That said, remember your body is a temple. You need to make sure that you are a responsible vegetarian and will not neglect your body's needs for the sake of "abstaining from meat". If there comes a point when you need to eat meat for the sake of your health, you should feel free to do so, but not with gluttony, of course.

The passage is about a sect in the ''last days'' that will forbid their members to eat certain foods. You can be a vegetarian if you want to. Ask a blessing before you eat, and give thanks both beforehand and afterwards. Just don't be a vegetarian because some pastor tells you you'll go to hell for eating meat, and don't think that God will love you any less for NOT eating meat.
Peace,
Drew

No, God doesn't forbid us to choose whatever we say, think or do as long it's right. Actually, that's why He gave the ten commandments; he wants us to be free from the slavery of sin. And being a vegetarian is not against those commandments. The passage you gave just emphasizes that eberything that god created is good and has a purpose.
Hope this helps.ÃÃÃ

I find it curious that you would ask for Christians only to answer this question.
In the Pentateuch it says that God gave fruits, vegetables and nuts for man to eat. I believe that as you read the Pentateuch you will find that God said it was acceptable for Man to eat meat... and there is a list of "Clean & Unclean Meats" It is this list of meats that Jews, Muslims, SDAs and other follow.
The New Testement does say [as some else here pointed out] "it is not what you put into your mouth that condemms you but what comes out of your mouth"
The entire Bible refers to your body as the Temple of God...
SO if you want the Biblical version of what you should eat... I would say that the message is to eat a Healthful Diet.... and that is up to you.... you can be a Vegetarian and eat a healthy diet or you can be an Omnivore and eat a healthy diet.

Let's not be like the priest in Jesus day in which they gave so many man made laws, that they missed the point of the law. Now regarding food, the old law was done away with. So yes everything is good to eat. But of course it is with moderation and balance.
Much of the old law in its procedures like sacerifice are not to be practiced, However their principles should be examined, and applied in our lives as Christians, 1 Tim 3:16 All scripture is inspired and beneficial for teaching and reproving and setting things straight.
Even if you are a vegetarian, your body needs to be balanced.

You are in charge of your own body and what you put in it. If you don't want to eat meat then don't, I've been a vegetarian for a long time and I don't miss meat at all, I feel much healthier without it. You'll reap the benefits soon. God shouldn't even come into it.

The God Yahweh wrote the food laws in Leviticus chapter 11 as a disease prevention and high nutrition diet for all modern human beings. He is giving us the OK to eat the meat of the certain species of animals, fish and insects to help maintain proper health in our body's while we are alive on Earth. By choosing to not eat meat that Yahweh recommends will result in one having poorer health from lack of proper nutrients that we only get from these meats. If Yahweh designed our digestive system to eat plants only then He would have made all animals "unclean" for us to eat as a food product. So in a sense if you want to say it that way, it is a sin to not eat meat.

There isn't a commandment that says "Thou shalt not be a vegetarian."
The commandments (new ones, keep up to date ya know)
Love your neighbour. If you act as though you love everyone, like being nice doind what is in their best interest etc.
Love God. Being Faithful to him etc.
I can't see any way in which being vegetarian is a sin.
As for the verse if you believ that by making the choice to be vegetarian is upholding these laws then God will see that in your heart your intentions are good, this is what you will be judged on.
God Bless.

Indeed not. God never forbid it. But just for the matter, it ain't wrong to eat meat. God doesn't force anyone to eat something they don't want to. Just remember, you're not eating it not because u think it's wrong, but because it's a family tradition or you're maintaining your health. There are millions of good Christians today who are vegetarians because they have never tasted meat and are not used to eating it.
