How many of you believe that the Bible is actually factual and holds 100% of the same information it did when it was first scribbled down? (That meaning that it has never been altered by the hand of man for man's own gain ever.)

well I just got a best answer vote in another question so its no biggy.
Yes for me it was worth it after all. I do have a soft spot for God but I never could stomach Religion, I always felt God was somehow let down by the ineptitude of his followers. Bit of a bad show really, poor old bugger.
Its good for me to learn what you all think, so many thanks for all the replies.

The Bible was written down 300 years after Jesus.
In Christianity's beginning, there was a lot more to it.
Then a powerful faction gathered all the scriptures together and only kept what suited them, destroying the rest (the vast majority of the text) and banning it.
They then took what they agreed with and put it together, creating the Bible.
I have nothing against Christians in general.
It just saddens me that so much was lost and the picture we get today is not the full one.

It's clearly not accurate, it has been changed numerous times.
Example: The word we use for the place Joseph and Mary could find no room, is 'INN'. If you look at the original Hebrew and Greek, the word should be more closely translated to say 'GUEST BEDROOM'. Since Joseph was going to the city he was born and raised, he had some family still there. He and Mary would have most likely stayed at the home of a family member, and not the Motel 6. The living quarters were on the upper level of the house, and the animals slept in a lower room adjacent to the house. That would have been the place Mary found some room to go into Labor.
Think about it, if that verse was translated correctly, how different would our Christmas traditions be? Just from ONE single word.

you can always gain back those points answering another 5 questions just as silly as this one..
There are 25 odd manuscripts of the New Testament. And each one is different from the rest. Waste another 5 points and ask me why i still believe in it. I promise it will be worth it.

The Bible has been altered numerous times during various translations. However, I do believe that the meaning of the scriptures has remained intact.

Are you referring to the Jewish Bible, the Catholic Bible, the Protestant Bible, the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible, or the more than 50 other different versions of the Bible in English alone, which are significantly different from each other? Each Bible claims to be the one true Bible. If the Bible is the word of God ,why are God's words different in other Bibles? That is why i have never read "The Bible".

Ha ha. The Bible is a load of tosh in my eyes, though I guess it's nice for people to believe in it and I respect that. There are some nice sections but overall it's pretty unbelievable for me. I get a lot of stick for having this view but I'm entitled to my own beliefs as well.

No, I don't believe in the Bible, to me its just another history book. Human beings have it in their nature to lie and the Bible was written by human beings.
