When I say hypocritical Christian, I am referring to those who claim to live by the Bible's teachings but in actuality do not come anywhere close to living a spiritual life VS. a person of perfectly good conscience who is an atheist.

I see a lot of back and forth between 'Christians' and 'atheists'......I'm simply attempting to illustrate these two labels do not represent the ultimate good or evil or right or wrong or black or white or whatever. It seems many would like to divide reality into two easily defined perspectives for the sake of easier debate....please stop.

J2theosh seems to be one of them. Isn't God supposed to be the only one who can judge any individual? I think anyone who has a good conscience is better than any hypocrite.

Hypocrites may show up in church building every Sunday, but there are no hypocrites in the Church. The Church is made up of true believers; hypocrites are just pretenders who sit among God's people. God knows who love Him. All unrepentant hypocrites will end up in Hell (Matthew 24:51)

A True Christian may not be better than atheist, but he is mightily better off.

A hypocritical christian is worst. In other words almost every right-wing christian. They turn off others from religion and help others move to atheism, like me.

The greatest harm done to any cause, religion or system of values, is done by those who support it falsely(they become the weakest link in a defense system) . Our enemies actually can help us, by making us aware of our strengths & weaknesses. Didnt Christ say love thy enemy?
But then again, I dont consider myslef a Christian, perhaps I'm deceiving you. ;)

i think its more hypocritical for an atheist to claim theres no basis for christian values to adhere even more so to them. At least christians can claim blind faith as an excuse. Most of societies values are heavily influenced by religion at least indirectly.
