Your best source of information would be your public library. Look them up in an encyclopedia and compare them yourself. Unfortunately the quality of answers on this forum leaves much to be desired.

The differences are based on what they consider to be their authority in matters of doctrine.

Judaism developed out of post-exilic Israelite religion and has as its authority the Old Testament of the Bible. I'm not sure to what extent the rabbinic writings are considered authoritative, but the midrash and talmud (not sure what else) are probably still referred to. They basically believe in one God who chose the people of Isreal and made a covenant with them, which, they say, still continues to this day. They await a human Messiah who will bring about God's judgement and force the world to submission or something like that.

Christianity follows both the New and Old Testaments. Some branches also hold that the traditions of the Christian Church are also authoritative. They believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and that he was both human and divine. God is trinitarian (one being with three centres of consciousness). The Messiah has come and has brought about reconciliation between God and man through his sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, paying the penalty for man's sins. People can only benefit from his sacrifice if they repent from their sins and submit to God in obedience and faith. Jesus will return to judge the world and recreate a new world order where all believers will worship him.

Islam was founded by Mohammed some centuries after Christ and was clearly influenced by both Judaism and Christianity. In a pagan society he promulgated monotheism and morality. Muslims believe that his teaching as recorded in the Koran and his example as recorded in the Hadith are authoritative. Salvation is through human works as embodied in the five pillars which you can look up at your library (or on the internet if you're so inclined).

That's it in a nutshell and with lots of big words. I really recommend you look it up in real books, not on web forums, for a more accurate and complete picture.

Islam is the religion founded by Prophet Mohammed with strong determination to attain worldwide peace through 'jihad' or what they call "holy war" and they believe that Jesus Christ is just a prophet. Judaism on the other hand is the religion of Jews that is devoted to obey the commandments and statutes given by God by the hand of Moses and they totaly reject Jesus. Christianity, for the information of many, is not a religion like Islam and Judaism that require to perform ritual activities. Christianity signifies relationship with Christ and does not speak religion. Christianity strongly believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior, the Son of the Living God and Almighty who are going to come soon.

They are very similar............ Do some digging on the Monk of Buhyra ( I may have spelt it wrong) there is a possibility he actually wrote the Koran. He was a renegade Catholic......didn't believe in the Trinity. All three religions share base beliefs. Judaism is the root of the other 2. The other two are based on different individuals. Mohamed only claimed to be a man...... and wanted to ensure Islam did not venerate him as Christianity venerates Jesus.

Tolerance:
- Judaism tolerates other religions. It doesn't proselytize because it recognises there are different paths to God. You're free to live as you live. Anyone living by the Noahide laws can go to heaven (they're universal concepts like don't kill, don't steal etc.) and every religion shares it. So in Jewish heaven, people of ALL religions will be represented there
- Christianity reserves heaven only for Christians. Doesn't matter how bad their deeds were, only they have the right to be there.
- in Islam, Muslims go to heaven (not bad ones), and very good Christians and Jews also go to heaven (but aren't rewarded as well as the Muslims).

Hell:
- No hell exists in Judaism.
- Hell is questionable in Christianity. Theories range from simply sleeping, to burning to non-existence, to eternal torment.
- Hell in Islam is burning continuously with your skin being replaced to be burned again. But when in hell, some Muslims say Allah might grant mercy on people in hell to get out.

Islam means subjugation, idunno if you're already aware of that. It's a very strict religion, and doesn't give a good position to women in the society (they're forced to cover their faces). I live together with Muslims in my town cause we're close to the turkish borders, although the Muslims here are a minority. Christianity is more of a free religion, free to do what you want although without overpassing the limits. I am a Christian and i have to say that i'm really pleased from its theory. I dunno much about judaism.

The key difference lies in their assessment of the person and nature of Jesus.

In Christianity he is declared to be divine, uniquely the Son of God, and was crucified.

In Islam, while he is seen as a prophet, he was neither divine
(It is anathema to the Muslims, the idea that God should have a son)
nor was he crucified.

In Judaism, Jesus was not the long-hoped for messiah, and not divine.

"Who is this guy?" is the dividing question.
(for atheists too!)

Christianity and Judaism are true Faiths, while islam is a cult created by satan with muhammad as it's spokesman, it is vile and intolerant, backward and repressive.

There isn't really that much different about them.
In that, they are all false - that as soon as they became an insitution - they corrupted the original teachings as such.
None of these deliver what they promise - and are gross distortions of what the original message intended to be.
Have a look at ...
www.tjresearch.info/overview.htm
And look at 'The Talmud Jmmanuel' text to see how different, this original text is...
