of course its gonna be posted on the yahoo front page that monkeys can do mental math, and have a better memory. What I really think what is happening is that these monkeys are first exposed to these scenario's. Like they train them to be able to do the math and memory game's. It's not like you take a wild monkey and he/she can do mental math, that's a bunch of monkey poop. But of course the evolutionist leave that part out because they want to make you think it's true. So think about these monkeys are trained before doing anything.

Even human children are first "exposed to the scenarios" that you just mentioned like training the, to be able to do math and memory games..Even then most humans are real bad at it...
These monkeys are treated just like human children and given the same training as these kids get when they are toddlers and go to kindergarten..Only once these toddlers master what they are taught, do they pass onto the nxt class... and some pass on to the higher sections without mastering anything in fact!
Evolution is true and dogs are also creatures of evolution.. They have also evolved the same way as how humans have.. The only differenc ebeing that humans evolved from monkeys.. and there is more and more proof that is being provided and researched these days to prove that this is true..

A couple of notes:
1) The animals in the study were chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are apes, not monkeys.
2) No modern evolutionary theory contends that humans evolved from chimpanzees. Chimpanzees and humans diverged from a common ancestor about 6.5 million years ago.
3) They are domesticated animals, but they have not been trained to perform math. That would defeat the purpose of the study. Obviously, it would be foolish and dangerous to try to get wild chimps to sit down and take a math test.
4) For the record, all of the humans in the test were trained to perform math and mental games, too - assuming that they all attended elementary school, of course.
I hope that clears some things up. Have a good evening.

Dam it. Yahweh's Toaster beat me to it.
Can you explain tool use in certain groups of apes observed in the wild? Using sticks to get ants from holes for example? Let's just wait a few hundred years and see if these are the genes that get selected in future generations.
This is well observed phenomena and interestingly tool using chimps have been observed living on opposite banks of a river to chimps who had not developed tool use.
Strange that God would design some chimps to use tools and others without this ability.

So basically you're just gonna ignore the fact that chimps can do maths in their heads?
Even kids need to be taught how to do maths, "Top Contributor", the study shows that chimps have a pretty high capacity for learning.

The theory of evolution and the mental exercises of monkeys are NOT related and no evolutionist will ever say it is.
Some Theist wanting to make evolution look doorky may try to make such a statement (like you) but no sensible person THINKS like you do so they would never say such things.
Just like your calling yourself a Top Contributor does NOT , in and of itself, make you one.

Yes, I doubt wild monkeys can do mental math. They probably do train them ahead of time. So this is less amazing how?
