Yes. Everyone dreams. The visually impaired wouldn't necessary dream in visions. Way back in the 1960's they did an experiment where they had people wear red tinted glasses all day. After a few weeks those people started dreaming in red color.

People who are color blind dream in the colors they normally see, but not the colors they can't see.

People who are blind dream in sound.

More than that, much more.

" Sunflowers sitting on chairs
Faces that change from tranquility to horrid monsters
Victorian children (very common!)
Men throwing knives
Complete wedding scenes
One very independent lady had to stop going out because huge forests appeared in front of her. She knew they were not actually there, but she could not see through them or beyond them." (from URL2)

Charles Bonnet Syndrome:
people with visual impairment can start to see hallucinations in the daytime.
It's not that uncommon, but many people with it are, not surprisingly, reluctant to report it for fear of being taken to be mad. It can be anything from simple geometric shapes to complete formed and detailed scenes.

(And since dreaming is a function of the brain, not the eyes, that need not be impaired at all.)

Not necessarily, but where I can't do certain things, like talk, see clearly, or run or scream (that's the worst one). But I have some strange dreams. I'll even get dreams that take over where the other one left off.

i dont know anyone who is visually impaired but i have heard and read about this subject before. i believe that they do dream in smells sounds and feelings, in the same way they experience life. also i think someone who was injured and lost their sight will still dream images.

visually impaired? you mean blind?

if someone hasn't seen anything for their whole life... i don't think they would visualize anything... maybe hear... but not see in their dreams..
