We're getting married! this saturday to be exact. both of us decided to wait. I'm eager. but I wanna know... Is it gonna be kinda awkward the first time? i mean... We'll just be sitting on the bed in the hotel. I'll probably look at her and say "so.... wanna do it?" I just think it'll be kinda weird. Here's what I want to know, If YOU waited for marriage, did you feel kinda awkward on the big night?

My husband and I were both virgins when we married. Our first time was the day after the wedding (we were to tired on the wedding night to even get undressed).

Just take it slow, she's probably as nervous as you are. Take it slow, smile, laugh, touch, kiss. Tell her how beautiful she is, let her tell you how much she loves you. It'll happen when the time's right.

I waited for a long time, but not until marriage (I abandoned the idea, wish I hadn't). But truthfully, while I found it awkward initially, I found it somewhat disappointing.

People bump it to this big great deal, acting like they just can't go without it. It was good, but not anything to lose sleep over.

It would probably be less awkward for you if you didn't listen to others about what it is. It would feel awkward because you aren't sure of yourself at the time, but she is feeling the same way. Besides, who does she have to compare you to?

Stay calm early on and it will all come naturally by itself later. That will help with the awkwardness. And it will be much easier the second time. It gets easier with each time, so you'll be okay.

It can be awkward. Just don't force it. Relax together first and let tings happen naturally. Since neither one of you know what you're doing, relax and just let it happen. And it's so much better the next day...

Oh, and looking at her and saying 'so...wanna do it?' might just get you a NO response. Remember, she's just as nervous as you are, if not more.

When i was married at age 40, i had not had sex with a woman for 16 years. After 16 years of Bopping the Baloney , it was very strange to be with a being that was not made out of rubber.

Try to be romantic about it....light candles, and do the whole make out for awhile bit. I'm sure almost every girl wants there first time to be romantic and yes it will be special to have it be with you but, try to be just alittle more romantic than "hey, wanna do it?"
