I've asked this time and time again and no one will give me a straightforward answer. Can you get breast implants at 17 in America?

Also this is with parental permission on someone who is fully developed.

1. I have parental permission
2. I'm not doing for larger breasts
3. I lost weight from steroids and it ruined my breasts. I'm way to young to have such horrible looking ones.
4. I am fully developed. My doctors say my body will not change any more.
5. Yes, I do need them.

I'm not some teenage ditz girl who thinks there's something wrong with every part of my body. My breasts sag horribly. I can easily pinch three or four inches of just skin off of them. The scarring for a lift is not worth it when I can get breast implants, have better breasts, less scarring and less risks.

Sorry, but small breasts will never be popular. Just like the blue eyed American tan blonde girl will never not be sexy.

My mom even agrees that my breasts sag horribly and decided I could get them (and she's very anti-plastic surgery). I'm not thrilled about having something foreign in my body but I'm not going to go my entire youth never being able to wear any clothes or bathing suits. Not even bras make my breasts look better (and I've tried all kinds and sizes.).

LE VISTER!!!! I HAD TO TAKE STEROIDS!!! I WAS ON THE VERGE OF DYING FROM ASTHMA (I HAD ALREADY HAD SURGERY FOR MY KIDNEYS) AND HE BASICALLY SAID "TAKE STEROIDS OR DIE." IT'S NOT LIKE I HAD MUCH CHOICE!!! I CHOSE TO LIVE. YOU CAN'T FAULT ME FOR THAT!
I'm going to slap you in the face (very hard).

Also Mike G, I gained over a hundred pounds on the predisone and I've lost most of it. Extreme weight loss like mine caused my skin to sag everywhere.

My body was on the verge of shutting down. I've been sick since I was 6 months old. My kidneys, asthma, flu (I get it at least once or twice a year), fevers reaching 105 and a laundry list of other things. My doctors said that I had virtually no immune system. I eventually got so bad that I couldn't leave my house. Until I was 11, the doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. By the time I was five, I had already been put on over 20 different consistant medications made for adults. I averaged probably at least 4 or 5 asthma attacks a week (that I had to go to the hospital to be treated for). Once, I had one for five hours straight despite treatment. So I have a feeling that your asthma was not as bad as mine is. I can't go out in the cold. I've had to be homeschooled because I can't be around people due to the risk of infection. I've been very sick my whole life. I don't need or want your pity.

Most likely you will need your parents' permission for this surgical procedure.

take it from me (i have had them) do not get them at 17. You cant i don't think without parental consent. Plus you are still growing, so you can do more damage then good. Most doctors wont touch you until you are 18 or 21. At least the really good doctors. Im glad i waited. I was barely a B cup and i waited till after i had my kids (im 23) I am young. But the pregnancy alone killed my breasts. So if you are ever thinking about having kids in the future i will wait. Because my doctor even said that if we were having more i was going to have to go back in afterwards to repair them again. We arent planning on having more for another 10 years so im okay. In 10 years you need to go back and do it again anyways. Plus its an expensive procedure 5000-7000

If you have parental permission and your doctor says that your fully developed than yes you can get breast implants. However due to your age, even in light of your situation (the steroids thing), still some doctors might turn you back. But be persistant and im sure you'll be able to get it done.

Technically you can with your parent's permission, but to do so at such a young age would be ridiculous. You have not fully developed yet. Give it a few years and see how it goes!

It shouldn't be a problem since you have your parents permission.

I don't believe you are fully developed enough physically or mentally, at 17, to make such a decision though either so...

Oy, your situation is horrible.

One, I do believe you could have explained it better at first and two, I believe it depends on the doctor. If you have so many other problems, I'd talk to my doctor first about if it's safe to do it. Otherwise, I'd think You'd be just fine.

I don't fault you on the decision because of your... abnormal and truly unfortunate situation.

yes you can. although very few reputable surgeons will do it as your body hasnt fully developed yet.

i also have to add that although personally i think you should wait a few years, you could always travel to South America and have the procedure (although there can be complications, in US surgeons have to be vetted, no such thing to my knowledge exists in S. America)

If you've got the money, you can get them when ever you want. However, I'd suggest that you hold off, because in ten years, small breasts may be in.

have to have a parents approval for the doctor to proceed....YOU DONT NEED THEM THOUGH!!! Walk away from it. Dont ask your parents and dont make that call. Dont drive down there and dont talk to the doctor about it.
dont do it please....you'll regret it
