Yes, it is completely normal to develop stretch marks especially if you're a teenager. This is because you are still developing and your growth can rapidly increase suddenly. It doesn't matter if you're slim or not - everyone can get stretch marks.

Stretch marks develop under the skin, not on the surface. Your average moisturizer/cocoa butter lotion will only do things on the surface, not deep down in the layers of the skin. Regularly putting on lotion can help prevent future stretch marks from occurring because you are building up the elasticity of your skin.

Some methods that help minimize the APPEARANCE of stretch marks are mixing lanolin cream and Vitamin E together. They are both ingredients that will seep down in the layers of your skin fast and they are quickly absorbed.

Sure, it's very normal; and if you treat them right, they fade to become nearly invisible. It really just means that you're experiencing a growth spurt, whether it be that you're filling out, or getting taller. Stretch marks are just scars, so apply a vitamin E concentrate or cream to promote healing and keep the skin supple. Also, any lotions with cocoa butter are great for preventing further damage to the skin.

PS- Take your vitamins! Ample vitamin C will help you heal faster.

it is normal since u are still filling out. my 16 yr. old daughter is freaking over the ones on her breasts. she uses Tretinion cream by prescription. my daughter's are bright flaming red. eventually they will turn white and become barely visible. Also try Vitamin E oil or Palmer's Shea Butter. it will fade believe me my 42 yr. old body is full of them. oh and stretch marks are hereditary so if mom has them u may not be done with them yet.

you can't get rid of stretch marks. oils help you not get them because they moisturize your skin. there are products like maderma at the drug store that can help reduce the appearance. i got them when i was 13 but that's because i had some extra pounds.
