Of course. Everyone deserves more than one chance, I hope you or he or she is still happy and don't worry about anything, you or he or she will be alright.

Yes.. there are plenty of bad things that good people have had to do for survival for instance..
It depends on the act, the circumstance, and ultimately the person who did the act.
No one can answer this question for anyone else. It's very personal.
I know a few people who have done one specific thing that I couldn't live with had I done it personally. But, those people seem to be getting along fine so who knows what people can live with or not.

I think so, I have. I cheated on my boyfriend, who is now my husband, of 6 years. I was horrible and mean to him for 3 months because I was unhappy with my life. I will never forgive myself, but I try and make up for it by going out of my way to make him happy and be a good wife. I would say to tell you friend to try and to some good in the world, however it would work best considering whatever it is that was done.

Yes, a good person who does a bad thing feels how bad it was. Since they know it was bad, and they feel the guilt and shame of it, they will probably not ever do it again. This would mean from this time on they could chose to be a good person.

I think all people are bad. We just have good qualities that show up everynow and then. The only way I live with all the bad stuff I do is knowing that Jesus died for me and erased/es all the bad stuff I did and will do. If I didn't have faith then I would say no I couldn't live with myself but people do it everyday. So i guess it depends on what your definition of good and bad is, Where does your code of ethics come from?

Yes they can still be a good person. Believe me, I've done so many bad things, but I still feel that I am a good person, I've just made mistakes. Depending on what they've done..like killing, rape..anything of that extent I would say they should die =] lol

Yes, you can live with yourself but you MUST make things as right as you can. This may mean losing friends, but it will also mean that you can look yourself in the mirror every day.

I don't know how old you are, but this becomes more and more important as you get older.

Find out how to fix things, listen to your heart, ask for forgiveness and then move on.

Good luck.

We all do things wrong from time to time. Try not to make the same mistake twice. Try to fix what you did. If you did it to a person apologize and ask for forgiveness. It is hard to say what else you should do since I do not know what your friend did.

The thing I've discovered is that when you can forgive yourself and learn from you're mistakes, you evolve as a person. My philosophy is that who I was yesterday is not who I am today, and who I am today is not necessarily who I am going to be tomorrow. In other wards, the mistakes I have made in my past helped me become the person I am today. And as long as you like who you are today, you're in great shape!

I'm generally benevolent, but I've also done my share of bad things....I find it best to repair any damage you've caused being bad, and get on with living life in the present, the past is the past, you can't change it, and you can't predict the future, so live for the present....

people make mistakes in life. we learn from our mistakes. that's why we can't predict the future. coz if we could, there will be no surprises in life. forgivness is not only the relief of the person being forgiven but also has psychological benefits for the person giving it, which is mercy. we also need to learn how to forgive ourselves sometimes. so we can move on and pursue our true happiness. its fine to remember our mistakes, but only to avoid it and not to repeat it again.
