and they acknowledged that there was a God, would some of you atheists believe it? "Azure" gave me this thought (someone on this site)

My point is, if other worlds believe in God, doesn't that reinforce the belief?

That does sound intriguing. But in the Religion room you got to know that both demons and holy angels of God that are not human already know there is a God.

Now if there were other aliens, your question is premised on intelligent aliens, perhaps smarter than man. You run into a whole gambit of other questions. For instance, how would they serve themselves better if they decided one way or the other. See what I mean. How could we know they are telling the truth?

If we just stuck with a very simple scenario and they were honest and said "Yes there is a God." I don't know if that would convince them. What new argument would they show man, what other men on earth have already thought? The only difference is that it came from an alien' and not a human being.

Sorry.. I loved Xanadu.

i have asked a similar question. but to counter what if we meet them and they acknowledged that there is no god. they do not even know what the concept of a god is for that matter. now if god created everything, he created them. why did he send jesus to earth to spread the word ( or whoever you believe in) and not someone to this other planet. if God sent his son here he should have sent something there to prove the existence of himself. if this is the case, would you than throw away your christian beliefs?

The atheist's world is dark and confused. They are trapped alive in the devils snare. Some will choose not to believe in God until they stand before his throne on judgement day, and unfortunately for them that day will be too late. Some will come to their senses before it is too late.

No... as we have seen already on this planet when confronted with things unknown rather than search for the real explanation we make it up...

Just as I ask human theists, I'd ask the aliens "where's your proof?". If they cared enough to tell us there was a God, I suppose they'd care enough to tell us how they know that.

No more than you would join atheist aliens.

edit:
Can you picture aliens worshiping Jesus from the little town of Bethlehem from Earth? I can not.

Sure !!!

Since all supposed "atheists" in this section already believe !!!

Why do you think they all spend hours on end in a religious section with us ?

I'd ask them how could they possibly know? If they say they have faith, or point to some ancient book, I wouldn't buy it.
