It all depepnds on how extensive the surgery was. was it one ligament in each knee or full blown reconstructive surgery? Unfortunately the only way you will find out is to get the medical documents and have them sent to MEPS for a medical determination. They will send you for a consultation where they will check your knees. I know that for pilots the physical standards are more stringent than enlisted. I wish you luck in your quest to be a pilot. Keep your mind open to other opportunites just in case it doesn't work out. A career in the Navy is still a great life.

The military common him for enlistment. he's been on energetic duty for a 12 months. If he desires the surgery because of the fact he can't functionality at his military project, he would desire to get whilst he remains interior the army. The military won't discharge him if he's not in suitable actual condition. If he gets the surgery and the actual medical care and nevertheless can't functionality in his job, then they can supply him a medical discharge. I which case he ought to receive a incapacity fee each month. seem into those project earlier making a rash decision.

Post-surgical correction of ligament damage to the knees is only disqualifying if it is symptomatic or unstable.
No guessing. Fact.
