Ever done scrying and actually got it to work... Cuz yeah, having problems here.
Oh yeah, and does anyone know a purification spell, because I can't think up one and neither of my sisters, and well the internet just doesn't want to help. well anyway. If there is anyway you can help, that would be awesome. And no flames please, I'm just curious.

Scrying isn't about Wicca and vice versa.

With Scrying, many find the difficulty to be letting go of thier expectations of in.
This I am sure has happened at first to just about anyone who has mastered it.
You may be holding yourself back by expecting to see certain objects or pictures in a certain way. You have probably read books or articles that gave you an idea of WHAT to expect.
Put all of that knowledge aside and just let what comes come. Do not let yourself get frustrated but give yourself time and keep trying.
Don't ever think that you are incapable because you are very capable to do this.
Don't only go with instructions from a book, I find with scrying,(although it is not my preferance) to start off I often unfocus my eyes...if that makes sense, like I am looking into one of those magic eye posters...this is kinda a mind link to let your subconcious know that you are not just staring...lol.

I can't focus or sit still long enough for scrying - sorry. I was darn good at tarot though and I'm VERY good at runes.

As for purification spell, are you wanting to purify a space, a tool, the house, yourself?

Space, house, tool - take a small bit of salt and put in water. Sprinkle around the house/room/on the tool. Burn white and black candles - white spreads positive energy, black absorbs negative (no, black isn't evil). Sprinkle the salt water in the corners, at windows, faucets, doors. Ringing a bell (if someone is walking with you) stirs the energy as well.

But - most of all - clean your place. Clean your room, top to bottom, clean your altar and tools. A cluttered room and/or dusty altar reflects the condition of your magic.

Cleansing of self - a bath in salt water (doesn't take much), or some lemon juice. Dry with a clean, white towel and visualize all the negative energy going down the drain with the water.

You have to experiment with scrying. I use a large bowl painted flat black, filled with water to the point that it almost spills over the edge, in a blacked out room with indirect candle lighting. I also use casting stones (Runes that I designed). I could never use Tarot though, I always wanted better art on the cards.

As for purification, sea (or Epsom) salt with or without water, any strong smelling incense, lots of sunlight, fresh air, open flame (matches are great for purification and banishment), happy thoughts, and laughter.

For purification purposes you can try sea salt and water sprinkled around the area and on yourselves.... Also burning sage works well.

Scrying takes practice and not everyone can use the same methods. I work best with a candle flame or incense smoke, others with a mirror or pool of water, still others with the classic "crystal ball". Don't worry if you have not yet found the right method for you

Scrying can be difficult, even for those experienced in it.

I have a natural talent for it--as a child I often got glimpses of faces and symbols in reflective surfaces, everything from the bathroom mirror to puddles to the tea in my mug. But as an adult, it's still very hard to harness it and do anything useful with it.

My first piece of advice is don't force it. There's a particular state of mind in which you will most easily see things--Keats referred to it as a "negative capability." You are conscious and aware, but also open, in a dreamlike state. This can be a difficult state to recognize or achieve, but again, it gets easier with practice. Just relax, and accept that you may not see anything this time--then again, you may. if the surface of your mirror or crystal or whatever starts to seem cloudy, that's a good sign. Eventually--maybe after a couple more sessions--the cloud will clear, and you will see pictures or symbols.

As for protection, there are several things you can do to protect yourself and your home. You can make a mojo bag filled with herbs and stones for protection to wear--carnelian. garnet, red jasper, and tourmaline are all good stones. Basil, carnation, caraway, cloves, laurel, hollyhock, rosemary, sage, and garlic are all good protective herbs, and have the added advantage of being very commonly found in kitchens and yards. Add some salt.

In an emergency, I've found "Isis help me!" is probably your best bet.

To protect your home, write the names of gods and goddesses with protective aspects over your doors and windows. You can paint over them and they will still work. I like Ares and Athena for this, but use whatever works for you. Salt and water together neutralize harmful vibrations--mix them and charge them, then sprinkle them around your house, saying firmly, "Evil shall leave and not enter." Burn a sage smudge stick afterwards, if you wish (but make it a warm day--sage does not smell good when burned!)

I was going to say salt and water for purification, but hestia's priestess beat me to it...

Scrying isn't my favorite form of divination, however the most success I've had was with smoke.

No luck with scrying.
But for purity you cannot beat blessed water, sea salt and rosemary. Try imagining your sisters as babies. Look at their old pictures. It is hard to stay mad a a baby.

purification/cleansing:

while burning sage and something "of the old," recite the following:

Earth's site, witches rite,
merry meet, in joy tonight.
sacred ground, newly bound
witness to our power found.

take the old and burn it,
burn it let it go.
fire burns within our hearts,
and gives us room to grow.

this purifies and cleanses the area, while also drawing energies to those in the circle.

after wards, you'll want to protect the area you have bound. to do this, everyone, in their mind, and while conjoined in a circle, need to imagine the group, in their mind, surrounded by three deep purple circles overlapping, forming a kind of triangle, with the group in the center of the three. while this is clear in your mind, recite together:

"we are protected by your might, oh gracious goddess, day and night"

thrice.

with each recital you image one of those three circles coming ablaze.

you may also wish to burn sage and purple candles in each corner of the area you are cleansing/protecting.

each circle member may also wear something of amethyst during these rites.

as you may or may not know, purple is one of the colours of protection. i do not know just how much you have studied, but i hope to have helped in some.

As for your scrying, attempt to use a different focus than what you currently are. you may not be attuned enough to whatever you happen to have been using previously. i cannot help on that without more information.
