I just bought a used 99 Ford Contour that didn't come with an owner's manual. The clock is messed up and I have no idea how to fix it. It's got the standard AM/FM radio-cassette player. I tried hitting the clock button, holding it alone and with other buttons and it's not doing anything except switching the display from the radio station to the clock.

I am happy to be able to supply you with a free down-loadable owners manual, courtesy of Ford.

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WOXCNT/~MUS~LEN/41/99cntog1e.pdf

VOILA! (instant manual)
(it is in pdf format so it is easily saved to your 'puter for future reference)

The directions to setting the clock are on page 44.
I'll paste them in for you:
**********copy page 44**************
Setting the clock
Press and hold CLOCK, then press
SEEK to increase the hours or
to increase minutes.
The clock will display 12-hour time
with no AM/PM indications.
On the single CD audio system, the
clock can be set with the radio
power on or off.
**********end copy********

did your car come with a book? It's usually in the instruction manual. Or if you have a separate stereo than the one your car came with, there should be a manual for that. :)

EDIT//:

I just noticed you said it didn't come with a manual. Sorry then...
