Whenever my girlfriend comes to visit or vice versa, it is cramped to sleep in a twin bed. I'm just looking for some kind of product that would be able to temporarily make my bed larger during the times she's here. We have some storage room in our room, so if it could be folded or stored easily that would be ideal.

The extenders I have heard about do not do that.

One is a height extender. They raise the bed further off the floor so you can get storage under the bed. They mostly look like flower pots upside down.

And then there are these little merger things...do you know that the width of two twin beds is a KING? So when you use this device you can put two beds together (the device bridges the gap) and then make the bed using a fluffy mattress pad or a memory foam...and then use king sized sheets.

When you don't need the bed to be that large, I suppose you could stack each mattress set on top (boxes together, mattresses together, or lean one behind the other to make a sort of low daybed/couchy looking contraption thing, or simply spread the beds apart and configure them however you like in the room.

You might consider a sleeper sofa if none of these ideas appeals to you. Then when you don't need a big bed, you have your twin to sleep on, and a couch for daytime use.

A trundle bed might resolve the problem.

go to target or mijers and get yourself an air mattress. 50-150 bucks and you might not sleep in your bed again.
