You have struck on one of the most devastating things about the American health care system. I am very sorry that you are feeling this way. If you think you might try to harm yourself, go to the emergency room ASAP.

I think you should try calling the National Suicide Prevention Hotline:

" Who Should Call?

* Anyone, but especially those who feel sad, hopeless, or suicidal
* Family and friends who are concerned about a loved one who may be experiencing these feelings
* Anyone interested in suicide prevention, treatment, and service referrals

Details About the Lifeline

* The service is free and confidential
* The hotline is staffed by trained counselors
* We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
* We have information about support services that can help you"

Call your local mental health agency and ask for a referral or a mental health clinic where you may be able to walk in. Also, contact the suicide hotline and ask for a referral too.

Usually, they have space, but these are the holidays which are a busy time for counselors. You can also go on line, there is one free online counselor under Christian Counselor on a blog somewhere.

Hang in there, you will find the right person soon. Help is on the way. I am sorry you are having to experience this.

I'll pray for you. In the meantime, go to the emergency room at the nearest hospital before you hurt yourself. John 3:16

dont do ANYTHING thinking it will help you get into see a therapist.

Do you have a insurance?

do you have a regular Doctor?

ask your Doctor to refer you to a therapist.

when I seen a therapist a couple years ago, I had to call my Insurance and they gave me a couple choices of who I could see, then I called them and set up an appointment. You dont need a drastic reason to see one.

Good Luck

take yourself to the emergency department. Tell them how depressed you are. That may be the only way youll be heard without hurting yourself
