To lose any weight ( and it show ) if you are eating out every sunday at different restaurants ??

My husband deems it necessary to eat out every sunday after church. I know we spend so much money that I think it grows on the woods behind us ....... I do swim aerobics ( medium strength ) 5 days a week, casual walk my dog maybe 3 days a week for 30 minutes, and try to get to the gym for weight training 15/ 30 minutes 5 days a week but now it's been about once a week. I am female and 40 yrs old.

What do you think ??

I try to eat healthy when eating out but its hard when I'm eating a salad and their eating ribs. I am about 50 pounds overweight now and I can tell my body is making room for more stored fat.

Any and all suggestions are helpful.

just compensate the rest of the week.

No fast food during the week, including all those quick pick me ups you think is healthy like salads from mcdonalds and such, because I know personally how tempting it is to walk into the golden arches to get a salad and smell that wondrous burger smell...

Second, eat healthier during the week. It sounds like you are doing a great exercise plan, especially for your age! A lot of women give up when they hit a certain age and begin gaining weight, so I congratulate you.

Basically, eat a lot of chicken (baked, or grilled, or fried in olive oil), a bit of meat, eat/drink your serving of dairy per day, drink PLENTY of water, more than 8 oz. a day, more like, 40-50 oz. (which sounds like a lot, but it's only 2 of those 20 oz. bottles of soda we can down so quickly), also, eat a lot of greens and leafy foods, lots of romaine lettuce, celery, cucumbers, and even baby carrots. They don't have but like, 1 calorie per serving, and 1 serving can fill you up!

Good luck! I know you can do it!

You could try other low calorie dishes, perhaps from the senior menu. I am not trying to be cute. The senior portions are usually smaller than the regular section. Also you could ask for smaller portions.

You do not have to eat all of the food served to you. Do not worry about waste if they insist on serving large portions. It is a waste whether it is in the garbage or turns into fat on your body. At least in the garbage, it will not endanger your health.

Also watch the salads. When you include the dressing and all the extras some people put in them, the calorie cut can be high.

You need to becareful. Salads can be deceivingly fattening. You can eat healthy and go out. Eat foods high in portein and high in fiber. Don't eat everything off you plate. Drink lots of water before you eat. Often times dehydration is mistaken for hunger and we cosume more calories than our bodies need. Try intensifying youf cardio work outs and increase your cardio work outs to 5- 6 days a week. Keep on doing your weights 5 days a week. If you are disciplined enough you will see results.
