What if they're really really bad?! Or if they wish harm upon you?

The bible mentions "If your enemies are hungry, give them bread to eat; and if they are thirsty, give them water to drink; for you will heap coals of fire on their heads.

many people wrongly think that "heaping colas of fire on their head" is a vengeful phrase, but what people did back then was when they would travel, they didn't have a box of matches to light their fires when they would get ready to prepare camp. Before leaving their fire site, they would wrap the coals and carry them on their heads. This is a comforting thing. Fire back then meant not only warmth, but something to provide food, for they would need it to cook, wash, and drink water.

In proverbs it says Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, And turn His anger away from him

Jesus also said to "pray for them that despitelfully use you and persecute you"

Best of luck to you

I think u should pray to God to make u so strong and powerful that such people r not able to touch u in any way. Why should u use ur energy for others. Look after urself. Besides there is law of attraction in nature. Whatever happens to u in life is the outcome of ur thoughts. Just analyze ur thoughts and u will find that u ve been focusing on this type of life knowingly or unknowingly, either because of any book that u ve read, or ur family or close associates life is like that or thru any movie or tv serial. Just cancel all negativity from ur mind and invoke positive energy to fill the gap and bring happiness in ur life and ensure that whatever hurt has been caused to u is not done by u to any person. This attitude will heal ur life. I pray for ur peace.

In response to questions about the effect of prayer, I've heard a lot people say God is not your personal genie, so I wouldn't think God is your personal hitman either. So, whether or not God actually exists, praying to God for harm upon others would only be a way of you ruminating and reflecting on your own anger, bitterness and regret, which would seem to me to be depressing and counterproductive.

We do not need to pray for harm on others. God has everything under control. Each person will get their due karma. ( reaction to their actions) If you wish ill or bad to others it will only effect you. Because thoughts are energy they can cause illness to our self if negative. We should try to realize the person is not well if they are doing bad or wishing bad on you or others. and pray for them to get well. This prayer will help heal you and them.

Love your enemies and pray for them not for harm. If you think/feel that you've been hurt by this person then let God do the justice for you in His own way and His own time. Trust me...

Why is it better for God to hurt somebody rather than you? It's kind of like you want God to do your dirty work for you so you can still think of yourself as a person who doesn't hurt or want to hurt anyone. Or so you can hurt someone without accountability.
God knows who you are. God knows you want to hurt people sometimes, and he can forgive you for it and still love you anyway.
From a psychology standpoint, the will to hurt someone is a desire to be understood. You want that person to understand how YOU feel, how what they did to you made you feel. Expressing your hurt directly to the person about the injustice might be a better way of going about it.

To protect you from harm, that's ok.

To promote harm, that's very self-centered, very counterproductive.

Judgement is the Lord's and his alone.

No, it's not okay. Besides, God won't work against someone else. Good luck with your issue though!!
