You and 2 others have been watching a movie it is about 1 hour and 20 minutes into a 1 hour 45 minute movie. Your roommate shows up she has met one of your guest several times and has never met the other. Is it more rude to stop the movie to introduce the two or to just say hello to your roommate? The roommate does not join you in watching the movie simply walks in and heads to there room.

I think, regardless if the roommate is staying to watch or not, introductions are in order. It should only take about 10 seconds. That shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience in terms of interupting the movie.

I think it's rude no to introduce. But you don't have to be long-winded in this situation. Just say, "Hey so-and-so, hope you don't mind that I've invited Erica and Cyndi over. They're from down the hall." You're roomate seems to have something on his mind so you don't want to bother him. Then again, you do share a living space with him so it's only fair to let him know what's up, there's no need to interrupt the movie.

i don't think i would make introductions if the roommate wasn't staying....if the roommate was staying i'd just make a quick intro and get back to the movie.

If they just walk in and head to their room you don't have to do introductions. When the movie is finished if they reappear then you can introduce them.

I would not make introductions in the middle of a movie. It can wait until later.

Hi, I would wait until the movie is over. You are being rude to your friends. Introduce them after the movie is over.

No need to. Do it some other time.
