Hello, Grace:

There is enough evidence in nature to testify of the Master Artist and His skills. In fact, when I studied anatomy and physiology, it increased my appreciation of our Creator.

Then He wrote many predictions in the Bible that have literally fulfilled. For example, there are some mathematical prophecies that prove Jesus is the Messiah, even predicting 700 years in advance the exact year Jesus would be baptized, born, and crucified. See: www.abiblecode.com

That site will strengthen our faith in Christ as the Messiah, identify Antichrist, and gives the exact timing of the Cosmic Conflict.

Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Yes God exists and Jesus is His son, born to a virgin and died to save us from our sins. This is an example of believing in the unseen, we can see the effects of God and Jesus all around, from trees to little babies. God made everything. I know because in the Bible (not only a religious book but one of the MOST important historical documents, if not THE MOST important historical documents ever written) tells us in many places (Genesis 1:27- "So God created man in his own image...) that God is the creator.
I can't explain how sad it is to see so many people on this website that could potentially be changing the world right now and leading thousands to Christ, but instead spread wicked words of false religions. I pray for you all that you will continue in your walk with Christ or develop one! Merry Christmas, and don't forget that Jesus is the reason for the season!!!

1. Is there any way to prove that God exists?

The Christian God was very careful to prove himself when he had the Bible written. He wanted to make sure you would recognize him as God when he set his plan of salvation into effect. What he did is predict the future. No person on earth, no medium or psychic, can claim the accurate prediction rate of God. God gave times, people's names, and place names so we can check out history and verify his work. He even gave us the name of a historical figure centuries before the fact!
Now if you wanted everyone to know that you, as God, was going to appear as a human being, you would explain what you were like so you would be recognized. You would put in the city of your birth, where you grew up, what kinds of deeds you would do, your temperament, your purpose, even how you would die.
God did all that in the Old Testament. It was all in written form four hundred years before Jesus' birth. The New Testament gospels follow Jesus and point out some of the places where He fulfilled the prophecies.
If you haven't been exposed to biblical prophecy, before, let me give you several examples.

Daniel recounts in chapter eleven of his book of having received knowledge of future events. Written in the 6th century B.C., Daniel gives us an accurate description of events winding down to 199-198 B.C. He foresaw Alexander the Great's kingdom split up into four factions. The prophecy predicts details of the conflict between the Ptolemy and Seleucid dynasties. Skeptics cannot believe the account was written before 164 B.C. Unlike Nostradamus' cryptic writings, Daniel chapter eleven describes plain schemes and conquests that are easily followed by the student of history.
Can you name the next president of the United States just two years ahead of time? Can you guess what name a friend will come up with for her new baby barely nine months into the future? No? Well, how about naming a king who will not appear for another 150 years, and name his nation? The prophet Isaiah did just that. In 44:28-45:1 God tells us that Cyrus, king of Persia, will decree regarding Jerusalem, "You shall be built," and regarding the temple, "Your foundation shall be laid." In 2 Chronicles 36:22-Ezra 1:1-3 we find that Cyrus did indeed come to power and called the Jews to return to Israel and rebuild Jerusalem.
Can you predict when the Messiah (God's chosen one) will appear in the world? Daniel 9:24-25 tells us that the Messiah would die 483 Hebrew years after "the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem." Neh. 2:1-8 tells us that King Artaxerxes issued that decree (March 5, 444 B.C.). 483 prophetic years (360 days to a year in the calendar of the ancient world) and seven days later, Jesus the Messiah was crucified.

How could a prophet accurately predict the dismantling of a world empire hundreds of years beforehand? How could a prophet give us the name, nation, and decree over a hundred years prior to the king's birth? How could a man foretell to the year the life and death of Jesus unless he really heard the voice of God? (I can't even predict which shirt I'll wear tomorrow.) These are only a small sample of prophecy in the Bible. One quarter of the Bible is prophecy. Several archaeological discoveries have verified these and many other accounts. God has proven his existence wonderfully.

I believe God exists because I see the evidence of His existence in the complexity of the world around me. Nothing as complex as our universe, the human body, the perfect balance of the cosmos, could have just 'happened'. We might make an argument for one thing to have just 'happened'. But when you consider how we would not exist if the sun was just a little farther from the planet or a little closer, or the air was not exactly the right mix for breathing, or you start considering how Jupiter is an asteroid deflector that keeps the earth from being pummeled with space debris, and how we need a universe this big just to have this one particular planet, it boggles the mind. Only a master designer could have come up with something so phenomenal! Do you realize how many blood cells are in our bodies? Or how incredibly complex the human brain is? That didn't just happen, anymore than a watch could put itself together without any help.

Yes, I believe Jesus is the son of God. His purpose for coming was to redeem mankind, who became corrupt after Adam disobeyed God. Why Jesus? Why not Buddah? Because if you look around you, you know that man is just not inherently good. Left to ourselves, we get worse, not better. People without God, without hope, get discouraged and depressed. Many of them kill themselves or others. They have no purpose to live. They try to destroy everything around them, because they are so miserable. Jesus is the only one of all the religions who came to give us hope, to give us a reason to live. When we know there's really someone up there who loves us, suddenly we realize life is worth living, and that someday we'll meet the One who created it all. Without that hope, life is pointless. Jesus knew that man's deepest need was to be one with his Creator again, to feel loved, and to be forgiven for all the bad things he had done, that he couldn't help. We all do bad things, and we can't help it. It's called a sin nature. We try to be better and do good, but none of us can do it. If we could, wars would end. Poverty would end. Killing would end. That's why Jesus came- He knew we needed help, and He's the only one who could help us- by giving us a new spirit, and making us different on the inside when we choose to believe in Him. That's our hope- there really is someone who cares, and His name is Jesus.

I believe in God, only because I choose to. I don't expect to be able to prove what I believe, or to convince anyone else. And I don't think it's necessary to prove it. Isn't that what you mean by -opinion-?

But I don't believe in the Trinity. I don't believe the Bible is inerrant, or God's revelation to believers. I think all these things are window-dressing. I don't think anyone really knows most of these things. The Bible is a wonderful, fascinating collection of old literature. Jesus may have been a man or a prophet or just a myth. It's his teachings that are important anyway, and they are self-evident.

I certainly don't believe that there are 'obligatory doctrines', things that one must believe to be 'saved' or to lead a justified life.

God exists because I can feel Him when I pray to Him. In my heart of hearts I know God is real. I know God is definitely there because He has saved me, time and time again. He lets me know he cares. I believe in God and He believes in me. God bless you always.
The kingdom of God is inside you, is all around you.

Which deity?

I believe that gods and goddesses exist. I don't believe that the Christian/Islamic idea of a single deity or in a savior sacrificed deity. I tried to believe in Christianity from age 5 until 22 and never could. I never got the "born again" feeling and the doubts of the child matured into questions that were never answered.

When I went looking elsewhere, I found what my path was and other deities revealed themselves to me.

I do not believe God exists. So I don't believe he had a Son. My opinion is that we all need to move forward in our thinking. In order to deal with real issues by real means. ex)Praying....what for exactly. Get off your knees and do something. I'm just very intolerant of ignorance. I firmly believe that it is everyones duty to educate themselves with up to date solid information. I am educated in every major religion practised today. They are all interesting. That doesn't make them fact. Faith is just not a good enough excuse for ignoring the facts. The fact being there is no God.

I do not believe in gods, because of lack of evidence. I believe a man named Jesus might have existed, but I don't know anything about him.

Also, I do not believe in magical gamble fairies!.... yes I believe that people can win the lottery if they get the right ticket.... yes that's right.... pure chance....
