My friend died in a car accident a few years ago. We went to the same church since I've known him, which was for several years. It was such a shock when I found out about him. His funeral was painful; seeing his parents with such grief was almost unbearable. He was only 16 years old.

One night, I had a dream about him. I was crying and asked him how he was. "I thought you were dead," I said. He seemed to be bathed in this ethereal light, smiles abundant from him. He told me he was okay and not to worry about him.

I told a church member about this at a gathering after his funeral. He encouraged me to tell his mother. I did, and she began crying. She hugged me and thanked me a lot. I never had a dream about him again.

What do you all think? Was I just imagining things or was a higher power at work?

Dreams are to illusive to be real. But they are real in our minds. So believe what makes you feel better. Whether its real or not wont matter in this life any way.

I think it is a higher power at work. One of my best friends from childhood was hit by a car at 16, and killed. 3 and a half years later, I still have dreams about her. Some feel just like dreams, but others feel so real. I believe it is really her coming to me through the dreams. She tells me she is okay, and I hug her like crazy.

I think what you saw was real. I had a class fellow who died at the young age of 20 or 21. He committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a railway engine. I had moved to a different city and did not know he was dead.

One night I saw a dream as he came to see me and told me that he died because he was run over by an engine. We rode on a cart pulled by horses and went to his grave. It was lighted green. He invited me to go with him, but I said, I was still alive and would go later. Then I asked what happened to him.

He smiled and said: 'God has pardoned me and declared my
death an accident'. It was so real that I felt that he actually came to see me. A few days later, someone came from his city and informed me of his death.

So peopole who die at an early age are mostly pardoned by
the Merciful Lord. Rest assured that your friend has gained salvation.

It's not the norm but God does use us and allow some to see things. Count it as a blessing. God is always with us all and you are lucky to take a glimpse of it. People in Heaven still love us and some times can say good bye to us. Just don't forget to test it to make sure of the source. If it doesn't conflict with God then rejoice in what you saw. That's just what I think though.

Once I dreamed I was flying. Was there a higher power at work? It felt so otherworldly.

You may not have experienced heaven but God's grace and comfort at a time of deep sorrow. God was and is at work in your life. Bless you!

this was not heaven sweetie, this was an attempt at getting a message across, he was saying goodbye and you were open enough to have received it if anything you are special.

I had a dream about a waste paper basket made out of orange peels. Perhaps there is something in this 'orange peel trash can' idea...?

Funny thing is, each persons idea of 'heaven' is the one they've been brought up with. I bet you can guess what young, male Muslims see when they have visions of heaven... Same goes for visions of Jesus and Mary etc. If you were brought up to believe that Jesus looked like Pee Wee Herman, well, no prizes for guessing whose face is going to miraculously appear in your toast...
