I don't know if the path of the Lord is necessarily rocky. But it is the more difficult path of greater satisfaction and joy. The best way to go? Back pack it!

Well the gold would be slippery, but you get to meet the scarecrow, the tin man and the lion on it, not to mention the Wizard and Emerald City!

You are mistaken sir: it is a WAY and a GATE which are respectively NARROW and SMALL. Honestly, I don't know where you come up with these crackpot ideas.
Matthew 7:13-14 (New American Standard Bible)
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

I'd rather use my shoes. I can balance myself along the way without pricked by any thorn or slide on the surface of the road.

I'll go for the yellow brick one to the Emerald City. It's more realistic than your delusional routes.

Since both are fictional things, I'd take a dune buggy through the sand to the beach.

I'll take the gold-paved road of sin, thanks. And I'll drive down it in a Benz.
