"is there really death? why do you say there is? we go to one place or the other...we live on....so is there really death?" - Yes, death really exists. You assume that when we die our "soul" or something like that lives on but there is no evidence of that. Just wishful thinking.

There is physical death and spiritual life. We will all continue to live on after we leave this earth. Where we choose to live on depends on our decisions here on earth. If we end up in hell, it is considered spiritual death because we will be separated from God, but aware. So, we will all live on just maybe in a way we wish we didn't choose.

Death is independent of life; Death is "nothing".
Only "one" life counts, the real one, this one; and it is "everything".You do not go from one place to another like you say, or live on; you just cease to exist, as simple as that.
That is why is so important to make the most of our life, the first and last one.

Obviously, our time on this planet in a physical body is finite. There may well be a post-mortem state of Conscienceness, but I don't think that's knowable from this side of the River Styx.

We are pure energy. So when we discard the physical shell, we go to a place of pure energy. Death is an illusion. Energy changes forms yet cannot be destroyed.

From your perspective, which i agree with, I'll use a quote from a song, (I totally commend and will give thumbs up on any random answer to anyone who can tell me what song its from.)
"...Remember that death is not the end, but only a transition."
Also, you people seem to forget that an Absence of evidence doesnt equal evidence of absence.

Is it appointed for every man to die once? What about those whom loved not their lives until death?

Nobody knows. Our post-mortem fate if any will probably always remain a mystery. It's really a matter for opinion or belief. Nothing can be determined empirically.

I take it that you've never been to a "viewing" or a funeral. Believe me, really, that dead body is not Hollywood makeup and special effects magic.
