take your lunch to school at least then you have a better choice to eat healthy and plus the cafeteria doesn't list the calories that are in the food so i would just stick with food from home! Also if I WAS you i would eat 1800 calories a day cause your brain is still developing!! And since i am me i am on 800 calories diet that is working but i also eat over the limit which causes me to do a crunch for every calorie over! I am 14, 5'8"-5'9", and since this morning 146.8 and 2 weeks ago i was 155!!! So i hope you stick to healthier diet than me!! If you want to know more about my diet and how it can help YOU!!! Um, you're about the perfect weight....It might be called meat on the bones, but some guys like that. I'm a junior in highschool, i'm 5' 6'' and i am about 170 lbs.

Tips: Juice is good for you. But don't substitute with water. yes, get rid of your soda, and play some wii tennis and if soccer is included too, it will help if you play an hour a day or so and make sure you run around and stuff. But i'd make your goal a solid 130 lbs.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

At 5'8", your weight of 155 is in the healthy range.

To lose weight, eat about 1200 calories a day. Daily eat 5-10 servings of fruit and veggies, 2-3 servings of protein, 3-4 servings of carbs, 3-4 servings of milk or dairy products. Do not drink pop at all, drink skim milk or water. Minimize candy, chips, cookies to one or two servings per week.

If you are 155 pounds and 5 foot 8, you aren't very overweight. Exercise would help a lot. Do yoga, stomch crunches and leg lifts. Substituting water for juice and pop will definitely help. Cut fast food and cut really fatty food like cheese. Try to eat only at mealtime and if you have to snack, eat veggies and fruits.

Water instead of pop is good.. just dont eat to much cafe foood! maybe sandwiches instead of fries?
but at your age YOU DONT NEED TO GO ON A DIET. For your height 155 pounds isnt so bad AT ALL. You play soccer right? Muscle is heavier than fat so you probably have muscle weight..and thats GOOD also you may just be heavy boned:)
focus on eating HEALTHY..not to loose weight :)

Well hun, at 14 gaining weight is natural, you will inevitably lose it in your own sweet time, your body is adjusting to a new life style, and that's fine.

The best thing I can tell you is put down the magazines that tell you that you have to look a certain way, you are you and uniqueness is your best trait!

3500 Calories = 1lb.

Cut out drinks with added sugars (Soda's, fruit juices) and drink water like you said. Eat less at one sitting but eat more smaller meals, which should help to speed up metabolism. Eat more fruit and veggies and less processed food(none if you can manage that).

if you really want to lose weight stick to a 500 calorie diet and drink a lot of water. no sodas just water. also stop eating after 6pm. worked for me in hs. or you can always do what the supermodels do, swallow cotton balls soaked in orange juice so you can feel full. hey, it beats smoking.
