Military pride survives, right along with freedom.
And our youth have stepped forward again to prove it.
God bless America and her troops.

You have a very creative mind..but it's defenetly in a positive way..i like the song...!
i'm not a liberal, or whatever the opposite of that is...fortunatly..i don't care...and that's the problem with americans these days..they don't care...and that's where our patriotism went. i'm not a red-neck..shoot, i've been a city boy since birth...
i am a firm believer in what's right or wrong, and i see alot of WRONG in the american people.it's what made me lose all motivation in being a marine...the politicaly correct ruin this country...PAIN AND SUFFERANCE ARE THE TWO BEST TEACHERS IN LIFE. without them the U.S.A LOSES ITS BALLS....THE PEOPLE WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT STUPID **** that goes on in this country like
giving gay people rights...why can't women get into combat M.O.S's...where's the reperations checks...give ilegal immigrants rights...santa claus can't say HO-HO-HOOO anymore cause it offends women...britney spears is fat..."gees, i can't wait till x-mas i through"... can't spank you kid anymore cause some stranger didn't like seeing that ("then look the other way jackass")...i can't say the "N" word, but black people can (who made that rule?)...a store near me used to be called G.I.JOES, but the asian community thought it was offensive, so it's now just JOE'S...you get the picture...i live my life everyday for ME..whatever makes ME happy..i have no point to prove..i'm not politcaly correct (which is just another way to say "i'm afraid of my neighbor") i joined the marine corps years ago..got out after seven years of active duty infantry ,by the way, because this is the kind of **** i was overseas for...now does that make me a selfish person, or a patriot...? the "politicaly correct" are the ones who take away patriotism...
The real ptriotism lies within those who have served for this country..and when i say served, i mean those in the military, and those supporting them with packages and love letters, so-on and so-on...by the way, BUMPER STICKERS and EMAILS...ARE THE LAZY WAY TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!
No american has to be for or against the war. we are in it now, let's make the best of it, be a real patriot, and support our brothers and sisiters who won't be home once again for the hollidays...that would be REAL PATRIOTIC OF YOU!

Good ol' g.w. pissed away everything this country could be proud of militarily. He made a huge clusterfu@k of Iraq illegally and now our nations best have to try to clean it up with a bunch of dipsh!ts calling all the shots. Not only does it make us look bad , it now makes us look weak because this nation is so divided. It's a long road back American Military Pride from where we are now , but inevitably we will be back on top as the respected superpower of the world...eventually. The trust other countries used to have in us to be the great leader nation has been destroyed for generations to come. Our American MIlitary Pride and our Country have been hijacked by Mr. Bush ( the first appointed 'president' in our nations great history ). God Bless America ( even the dipsh!ts who mindlessly follow this appointee in his sick & twisted version of patriotism ). True patriotism is protecting the citizens from it's government...peacefully. Most politicians from both parties need to be voted out and completely replaced by people interested in our nation's best interest not merely political survival and popularity or even worse private agendas. If any modern politician ever grew a set , they would be greatly followed and respected by everyone who is tired of hearing the same meaningless babble from all of 'em. (Hoo-ah!)

There's a reason few people write songs.
To answer your question it's the same place it's always been.
It's just that it's been tarnished a little by the recent actions of the US military across the world, unprovoked and unnecessary military actions against, a pitifully weak foe. Sure, a few AKs and RPGs, maybe a sniper rifle or two, and some home made explosives.
Such a foe to fight, you must be so PROUD to bulldoze through civilian homes in an effort to destroy something that cannot be killed by the use of force by it's very nature.

The pride is still there with each military man or woman. It's the politicians who screw up the war. They do not allow the Generals to run the war while they run the Congress and Senate.

I think it's the fact that since WW2, we haven't faught a legal war according to our constitution. Instead of rallying the public and getting our reps to join in (like the constitution says), we've just been told what to do by Big Brother and people don't like that.
When people actually feel threatened, they will LOVE the troops.
I think its a raw deal that the people on the ground sometimes get a bad wrap for what the higher-ups do, but that's life.

Please don't pretend to speak for ANY service member. Not all of us are uneducated, low-class rednecks who believe that America is the land of the free - but only if you're the same as me. You can slap as many bumper stickers on your car and "hoo-rah" all you want, but at the end of the day you hate everything America was founded on and what it truly stands for. You're as bad as the terrorists when it comes to preserving the American way.
