It's been less than half a day so far

It's a small dog, and her mouth stays open and she breathes hard for minutes then she rests for a bit then goes back to breathing hard.

It is probably something that won't cause your dog much trouble. I think it is the throat being pressured or something. She should see a vet if her symtoms get worse. Don't hesitate to call up your vet when she doesn't walk or get about hernormal way. No actually thebreathing hard is normal for large dgs but if she making noise like unusaual dog noises then she isn't doing it by herself.

Some dogs can have adverse reactions to the anesthesia.

But if it's been 12 hours, I'd call the Vet.

Keep a close eye on her and put a call into the vet in the morning. Just to make sure.

She could be having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic prescribed.

Take her temperature, a dogs norm is 101-102.5

Anything above that means infection and you need to call your vet.

Sometimes its the after effects of the anesthetic, call your vet, if he is closed call an er vet now, they will advise......dont take a chance with your baby....they wont charge you for advice over the phone.......

well i dont know if thats normal or not the best thing for you to do is call the vet and asking them

wen my dog got spadied she was doing things similar i took her to the vet she was de haydated or somthin like that take her to the fet asap pleas dont lev it to late and regret it

I suspect she if OK. The last time my repro system was tampered with, I breathed hard and made sounds too.

Yea sometimes its normal, but she might be allergic to the medicne they gave her if she swells up take her back to the docters.

Sounds like the drugs wearing off, should be okay.
