increasing the protein intake can aid in muscle gain if you are weight training but it won't contribute substantially to body fat. to increase the weight as in muscle you want to eat plenty of high fiber carbs but you need to get regular exercise that stresses all of the muscles so something like walking alone would be inadequate. you would have to walk, do push ups, crunches, squats with the body weight, etc. you can get as creative as you want. check out the website below there are lots of exercises that you can do with either just the body weight or cans of food, etc. if you don't have any weights available.

yeah, cottage cheese can make you gain, it's healthy for you, but in moderation. Yogurt, too. I wouldn't try to gain weight on sugary/fatty foods, that's not healthy - if you want to be healthy, eat more nuts, fruits, drink whole milk (great for those that WANT to gain - the rest of us get stuck with skim, ew.), and definitely do some weight lifting. Light lifting will tone up your muscles, heavy lifting will make them get bigger.

And... by the way... if you're just 14, you still have plenty of a chance to develop that curvacious body that all girls want to have, and all boys just plain want. Don't rush it, you'll get there! The ones that get there faster tend to be overweight fast... so be patient with yourself.

GL with the workout!

You need to eat high calorie healthy food to beef up. You sound like you weigh enough but could use some exercise to bulk up your muscles a bit.
