My wife received a Holy Card with a picture of Jesus crucified, but on the back of the card there was the "Sinner's Prayer." It also said in brackets "(say this prayer when you feel it completely in your hear)."
Is this considered a Catholic prayer? I was thinking some Baptist might have printed in as a way to trick someone into being saved, lol.

THAT is strange!! Oxymoronic, too.

No..."decision salvation" and the theology that goes along with it is NOT Catholic and not what any "holy card" I've ever seen would say.

Is there a publisher listed?

Is it by Chick Tracts? ;-)

That would not be considered a Catholic prayer. Formulaic salvation prayers are not a part of our religious beliefs.

And no one can be "tricked" into being saved, even if you do read a prayer on the back of a card. I can read the Koran and not be Muslim, just like someone could read that prayer and still not understand what it takes to be saved.

You cannot trick someone into being saved because no matter how often you say the prayer if it ain't from the heart it don't get to the receiver. Baptists are not the only people who say that prayer.

Catholics all accept Jesus crucified as their Salvation.
The prayer is for Sinners, that's everybody, in my books.

I think some holy cards aren't that great. It depends on the company that printed them.
