My 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier has a lump on the top of her front leg, could it be fluid build-up?

Is it hard? Could be tumor.

It is squishy? It could be fluid or swelling from an injury.

Jack Russell's are very active dogs and tend to be careless when it comes to injuring themselves.

If it’s tender to the touch and she is lame I would call the vet tomorrow and ask for an opinion.

Sounds like a trip to the vet is in order. This is not something you can treat at home.

It's possible, if she hurt it recently, but more than likely it is a tumor. You should get it checked out.
