Anthropology is the study of humans, as opposed to HOW the mind works. Anthropology looks heavily at culture and society. In fact, it might be called cultural anthropology. So it has much more to do than just how our mind works.

Psychology focuses on individual behavior, and tends to take the cultural context for granted. Developmental psychology studies the behaviors of children at different ages. Abnormal psychology studies aberrant human behaviors, or mental illness. And so on.

Anthropology focuses on humans as cultural beings, so it puts the emphasis on the culture. Anthropologists study how humans behave in different cultures, how their culture affects the way individuals interact with each other and the world. This is the branch or anthropology called "cultural anthropology". Anthropologists also study "material culture", the objects made by the people of a given culture, so archaeology is a branch of anthropology. Physical anthropology is another branch of archaology; it studies the human body and how it interacts with its culture, and also, in short, human evolution. Linguistics is the fourth branch of anthropology, focusing in particular on the human behavior of communicating through symbol-systems, especially spoken language.
