I have several credit cards and cannot pay the minimum balance always, with this being said is there anyway to get the companies to shut off my credit cards so that the interest does not keep taking on or some way that the charge me a set amount each month that the account still has an account but the minimum and interest do not continue to rise?

As long as you still have an outstanding balance, the interest will grow, that's how credit card company earn profit. I would suggest you to find a credit/debt counselor to consolidate your debt, this way at least you only get one debt and usually you can get a lower interest rate than your current credit cards. Good luck!

Nope - the only way to stop the interest is to pay off the cards.

As long as you carry a balance - they will charge you interest.
