Thats perfectly normal
There are many different sects that use the bible to there own ends and different translations of it can turn it on its end and mean somthing really different.. Just look at the many differing versions of it.. Dont let these groups make you think there way
Your certainly right to be sceptical of the bible.. and your also right to search for somthing more..
Question with boldness even the existance of god because if there be one, He must approve the homage of reason rather than that of blindfolded fear.

Most Christians are united by the "Nicene creed". Everthing else is a matter of personal opinion and choice.

There are many different version of the bible and some have some bad misprints. For example there are versions of the bible which say.
"Thou shall commit adultery" and "The meek shall not inherit the earth".

It is best to use your common sense. Most of the Old Testament has been badly translated from ancient texts, which were themselves translations of older recordings. There are some good stories, but it is not an accurate historical document.
Jesus himself gave only two commandments. It seems to me that if you follow them then you are more religious than most people.

You are searching is what I would say, you are young and searching. You must believe in some portion of the bible because that is where it talks about God and Jesus. Watch what you say, read to give yourself knowledge - if you seek the truth, you shall find it. Never stop searching. Dont be a leming (a follower), educate yourself. Read. Knowledge is power - especially in regards to your relationship with God.

Salvation, eternal life, are offered like a marriage contract from YHVH. We take His name, and follow His rules. Believers followed Torah for 300 years after the Messiah until obedience was outlawed by the "Christian" church. You might well be "religious" whatever that means, but unless you have faith in the true creator, it doesn't mean much, for you have refused His gift.

yeah. you don't have to believe everything. I believe in God and the bible, but not in the bible literally. I dont believe that Noah built an arc or in adam and eve, but I believe that those stories are metaphorical in teaching us a lesson.
Everything in the bible is metaphorical/symbolic.

You should really look the web for other non-organisational Christian thought processes such as Gnostic etc
Maybe there you will find something to empathise with

Yes, that is very religious. Anything other than the truth of God's word is religion.

your local christian church would be a place to learn more about the word of God. reading on your own will keep a relationship with God. then you can chose to see God his way, and not yours.

You say you 'believe' in God.
You do not say you have 'Faith' in Him.
You are not religious.
That said, at least you believe.
Faith will come.
Good luck Minimoo..
