On Microsoft Office Word 2003. I need to find a word in a document without skimming through 35 pages for it.

How would I do this?

Thanks

For most editors, Control-F will bring up the Find Dialog. It should be under the Edit Menu also. Use Find Next after the first occurence to move on. If you want to replace a string, then try Control-R for the Replace Dialog.

Control-F will bring up the Find dialog; you can also get it through the menu by going to the Edit menu and selecting Find... underneath it. If this option is not visible, click on the little double down-arrow at the bottom of the menu; this will show all the commands on that menu that are currently being hidden (this is due to Microsoft's "Use Personalized Menus" setting, which I personally turn off immediately every time I upgrade to a new version; I like commands to be in the same place all the time).

Drew F: note that in Microsoft products (Office, WordPad, etc.) Control-H rather than Control-R is used for the Replace dialog box.

Open the document and click on edit at the top of the screen then click on find, type what word you are looking for and it will find all of those words one at a time.

Hope this helps

once you are going to get rid of all cases of this be conscious or replace the be conscious, then pick the discover & replace decision from the MS be conscious Edit pull down menu, that way MS be conscious does all the artwork in a fragment of the time. once you are going to delete all the cases of the be conscious then leve the replace field empty.
