Behave yourself (it is your fault, not the dog's), clean it up with an enzyme-based product, then crate train your dog. Lot's of info available from vets, training clubs, books, and online sites and it is far too involved to cover here.

The bottom line is that your dog has not been properly trained yet.

Get him on a schedule first. For example, a good walk in the AM before you leave the house and when you get home - 30 min - and that should tire him out so and empty his bladder. Is there someone who can come and check on him while your not home so he gets a break while our gone. Also watch him like a hawk if he looks like he about to pee tell him no right away and then take him straight outside so he can pee. Always use the smae door and eventually he will associate that door with having to go. After awhile you'll see him go to that door when he needs to go. Some dogs learn this very quickly some may take longer. You need to be consistent with the training as if your not he will become confused and revert back to his old ways. It will take a lot of work - Good Luck!!

I would definitly go with the Nature's Miracle pet stain/odor removal. Not only does it work great on pet stains/odors, but it is wonderful for ALL stains. You can use it on carpets, furniture, clothing, etc. It will take out grease, grass, vomit, feces, urine, basically you name it & it's gone. I buy the 1-1/2 gal size from drsfostersmith.com & I swear by it. NEVER put your dogs nose into something for bad behavior. They have very short memories & have no idea what they are being punished for. You need to train yourself to take the dog outside more frequently until your dog gets the hang of asking to go out on it's own (sometimes this can take a very long time). Good luck & remember to keep your patience. It's like dealing with a very small child.

Use Nature's Miracle Pet Stain Remover...it's a god-send! When you've noticed that the dog has peed, soak it up by blotting the carpet with a rag(not rubbing) and then spray on the cleaner, let it soak in and then blot again.

Tell the dog NO and immediatly put him outside.

Vinager ,water ,a little dish soap in spray bottle, then rub with dry cloth and spray mixture again. The dog will not pee on spot again as smell will be gone.

I sigh, let the dogs out, soak up the pee with a clean cloth and my foot, use Nature's Miracle and whack myself for not letting my dogs outside in time.

Please, do NOT put your dog's nose in it. Ever. What the hell would you learn if someone put your nose in a puddle of urine. You'd learn that that person is crazy and not to be trusted. That's not the relationship you want with your pet, is it?

Ginbark's answer was best.
