if u only dip a normal amount (nothing extensive) for 6 months to a year, are you still as likely to get oral cancer and things of the like? im not sure if u have to keep doing it for years and years or not to get those effects. also, which brand out of them all is the worst for you (or most dangerous)?

If you ever saw tobacco hanging in the barns to "cure" with the birds roosting above (and pooping on it) then saw it dropped to the floor (where the animals had been) after it was cured, you'd never put that stuff in your mouth. If you've quit, good for you and your chances of not succumbing to oral cancer are real good. Different people are affected differently. Some can tolerate it for many years without getting cancer and then again I knew an 18 year old who had a number of operations. Lost his tongue, then half his jaw and finally died. He'd been using snuff for a little over two years. Bad stuff! All of it.

Stop now, and you may avoid lip or gum cancer. The longer time it is from the last time you dipped to the present, the better your odds are for not developing cancer of the mouth.
