I didn't wait for anything really except to know in my heart that I truly loved the person I was with.
As for waiting until marriage, it's a load of crap.
I don't regret the first time. I do regret things I shouldn't have done with some people AFTER my first, but not my first.
Wait until you know in your heart that that is the person you always want to be with. Even though that stuff is only for fairy tales.
If you want it bad enough, you'll wait until you're in love. Give it *a little* meaning. If you're considering waiting, I would say there is no reason to wait until you're married but if you're going to give your body to someone make sure they love you!

My husband and I have been married for 14 years... we didn't wait until marriage to have sex. It has obviously worked out just fine for us. I didn't get pregnant before marriage, either. I am perfectly happy with my choices, but that was MY choice. I am not in any way at all endorsing or condoning premarital sex. That's something you need to figure out for yourself.
Just so you know... my husband and I didn't get married at a young age so we could have sex. Not everyone is that lame. (as another poster said above me)

im not waiting until marriage, just until im ready to have sex. it seems the logical thing to do, since i could marry someone and find that sex was all i was after, whereas if i had sex before marriage, id be able to tell whether its real love or not.
put it this way, when im in a suitable position in a relationship i will consider sex.

I am going to wait until I am married to have sex. It is working out for me. I can't lie it is hard sometimes but I am happy with my decision and in the end it will be worth it because I will be able to look into my husbands eyes and know that this is love not just somebody needing to get a "fix"

Marriage is becoming rapidly replaced with cohabitation, so the number of people that actually get married is going down. It's not important about if you are waiting or not for marriage, but WHY are you waiting... religion, parents, yourself, future spouse, etc.

i'm definitely waiting until i'm married. i don't see much sense in the whole "test driving" analogy...a person isn't a car, so they shouldn't be treated like cars. if you don't like a car, you can trade it back in, but if you don't like the sex you're going to trade it back in, too? then where was the basis for your relationship? sex is a huge emotional committment that should be shared with someone special. i would rather give my whole self to someone than give a little bit here and a little bit there and only have a fraction left for my husband. i will never regret my decision to wait.

I didn't wait until I got married and I regret it everyday. Because I gave something very special to someone else and not my husband. Sex a gift that is supposed to be given to your husband on your wedding day. I really don't know how young you are, but I must say if you haven't given it up then keep it for the one. You'll be so much happier. I really wish I did.

I never married, so I'm really glad that I didn't decide to wait until marriage to have sex! I can't imagine a life of celibacy for myself.

I grew up in a very religious home,I grew up telling myself that I would wait until I was married, but i made the stupid choice to have sex with my boyfriend at 18....I totally regret it because he turned out to be a jerk...your virginity is something that you can only give away once, be sure to give it to the right person. and if your thinking about it...please think about it long and hard...once you start having sex, it's very hard to stop
