I have the 2003 version of power point, and I need to play a video during my presentation. I inserted the video into my presentation but it won't play and it says that the program does not recognize the file. The video is from my camera and it can play on quicktime in my computer. But when I insert it into powerpoint, it won't play. I don't know what type of file the video is in because when I right-click on the video icon, it doesn't tell me the type of file. What do I need to do to make it work?

Hi,

You would think by now Microsoft would support a more recent version of QuickTime than version 2 in Windows PowerPoint. You can complain to Microsoft using the Help menu and send feedback. The Mac version of PowerPoint fully supports QuickTime. It's about time the Windows version caught up!

Meanwhile, you'll find a quick explanation of what to do (followed by more detail if you're interested) in the source link below.
