apparently not everyone. Speaking for myself that is. I dont do it simply because i believe im well "saving myself" I want my future man to be the only one. Talk to any man heart to heart, well thats what they say. They love and cherish their love more knowing that she has not given herself to any other man. Shes his.

The bible calls it fornication and it is unholy and ungodly.
God meant for sex to be between a man and a woman. A is singular. And woman and man are of the opposite sex not the same sex. God meant for sex between a man and a woman to be a wonderful thing santified by marriage. And it was by this means that the world would be populated. But just like everything else that man has ever touched he has defiled what God has instituted.
People of the same sex acting worst than animals
People acting like marriage vows can be broken on a whim
People baring children outside the marriage bed without regret or remorse.
I will tell you why Christians think that sex before marriage is sin. Because God says it is sin!

In the bible it says it's adultery.
I don't have a problem with people not waiting until marriage, but I have chosen too. I think sex will be so much more special if I wait until marriage. And if I get pregnant, I want to bring the child into a family I know is fairly secure (meaning that, generally if you are married there is not as high a chance of your spouse leaving you for getting pregnant as there is if it's your boyfriend that gets you pregnant). I'm necessarily saying that I think a boyfriend and girlfriend having a child together is a bad thing, I'm just saying I want to make sure that if I bring a child into this world there is a high possibility it will be in a secure place where it will have both a father and a mother. I think it's important for a child to have both.

Sex before marriage....here is a scenerio....
A man and a woman have sex (before marriage). The woman gets pregnant. The man doesn't care about the womans pregnancy. The woman ends up raising a baby without a father. Maybe the woman decided to get an abortion. Maybe she decided to give the baby up for adoption. Then the same man that didn't care about the one woman he had sex with getting pregnant has sex with another woman (before marriage) and she get's pregnant and guess what? The man doesn't care about that woman or the baby either. Am I being a little extreme? Maybe but it does happen. That is not really my view as a Christian but more of a view as a decent sensable person. That is just one view. There are other negative aspects with sex before marriage such as disease but, well that is another topic...

Honestly, most partners desire another who does not sleep around. One must ask, why is this true?
Having sex before marriage is like cheating on my future wife.
Saving sex for marriage means that you are not easy and stand up for what you believe in which is an attractive character strength. Saving sex for marriage means that you consider sex a big deal that requires true commitment. Moreover, you consider sex to be more that the physical PORNO experience, but an awesome defining act of the sacred love shared between husband and wife. Why would you want to have sex with somebody if they really did not care about you? In the end, they are just USING YOU to satisfy a sexual desire. Some obviously think this is fine, but I find it to be shallow and lacking in potential.
For Christians, sex before marriage is a sin because you fail to give all your love to the one who DESERVES IT.

God created sex for marriage. If you look around the world and see how sex has become a problem outside of marriage, you should understand why. Look at all the teens having babies. Look at all the people who are getting STD's. Look at all the people who are getting hurt cause people break up with them after they have sex. God didn't create sex to be dangerous, man made it that way by disobeying Him.

they take quotes out of the bible (cannot recall which ones).
I think it came from an older standard on sex. If you are engaged, and you dont have intercourse; if you are willing to wait for each other; then you know that the relationship is that much more worth it. you would know that your significant other does not just want you for sex. kindof a personal thing I follow, even though I'm not religiuos. (btw I did not say` anything against 'playing around')

Now-a-days, Most Christians have sex before marriage.
I believe the bible may say something about it being a sin, but I guess they found "reasons" for it to be alright.
I guess the less religious Christians find that it is acceptable to have sex before marriage.
However, I see it more as common sense than as anything "sinful."

There's something somewhere in the Bible about fornicating is a sin.
Fornicating means having sex without being married.
If Christians believe in the Bible then fornicating is a sin for them.

God is the one who authored the Bible. What He says is sin, is sin. This act was only intended for those who are married. Everything else is wrong. That's the way it is and I am not about to argue with God. Are You?
