MY favorite dip is salsa, I use fresh jalapeños take the stem off, just one unless you like really hot, because they are hot! Next a fresh tomato or more, a whole small onion peeled, several fresh garlic cloves peeled, and some cilantro... fresh also, not too much cilantro thou it can give you a bitter taste. Throw them all in the blender and use the pulse not blend just pulse, because you don't want a slurry you want it just chopped up sorta fine but not too fine kinda course.. and then you're done!!!! really good on a cold night... enjoy and Merry Christmas...

Spinach Dip
I serve this in a huge bread loaf. Cut the top off the loaf and remove middle of bread, serve with the loaf lid back in place.
I then use the bits taken out for dipping.
1 tub of Sour-Cream (Preferably large)
1 - 3 Garlic Cloves (To taste) - Cut finely
1 can of Water Chestnuts - Cut finely
1 Packet of Fresh Onion
Frozen Spinach - Thawed and squeezed of moisture
Mix all together and serve with chunks of bread.
Very easy and popular (We make it every Christmas day as it helps keep away hunger until lunch is ready!)

I have a recipe for a sweet fruit dip.
one 8oz package of plain cream cheese
tablespoon of vanilla
one and a half cup of light brown sugar
put all of these ingredients together in a bowl and cream them together until the sugar is completely incorporated. you may need to add a little more brown sugar. the dip should taste like caramel. Its great to put on fruit or cookies.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball
1 8 oz. pack cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1/4 tsp. vannila extract
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
3/4 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips
Mix cream cheese, butter & vanilla till fluffy.
Add sugars-beat just until combined.
Stir (don't mix) in chocolate chips.
Covere & refrig for 2 hours. I served in a bowl-you can roll it into a cheese ball also.
If you want, roll your cheese ball in 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans -right before serving or the pecans will get soggy.
Serve with graham cracker sticks !)
