I have a couple of cats, there pretty much kittens they were born in April of this year and ive had no problem with them when it comes to cleanliness. I am a very tidy person and I want my house to stay very clean and tidy all the time.

The last few weeks my female cat has been acting up. Every time she eats she wants to put her paws in her bowl and scatter her food around the kitchen. This is driving me crazy!! lol.
I always let there bowl stay about halfway full so that they can eat throughout the day while im working but I am tired of coming home to a floor full of food!! I have to sweep it from underneath the fridge, stove and counters lol.

Any tips on how I can make her stop this?

Thanks.

My suggestion would be to find a food dish that has a small stand with it. It would mean that she couldn't easily put her paws in the bowl.

One that looks like this:

I hope that might help...Good luck!

Put the food dish inside of one of those large plastic storage boxes. The cat would have to jump in the box to eat, and if she knocks the food out of the bowl, at least it will stay in the box.

In my own experience, my cats have only done this when they don't like the food. Maybe you can try another brand or flavor and see if that helps. You can also not leave food out when you're away. They'll survive!

I feed my cats their food on plates... even the dry. My female does not like anything to touch her whiskers, so when I would put food in a bowl, wet or dry, she would scoop it out with her paw to eat.

It is possible, that your cat doesn't like her cat food; or maybe she is playing with it.

I would ask the Vet.

Sounds like she's bored. She needs cat toys. And access to outside! (Get her spayed!)
